Installation Guide
How does this work? Through VirtualBox, you can run Windows XP on a modern PC. You install FM 2007 on Windows XP, and off you go. ⚽️

Downloads
First we will download everything, then install after.
- Download VirtualBox, this is the programme that Windows XP will be installed on. Link here.
- Download a disk image of Windows XP. Link here. This disk image and serial code are freely available, Windows XP is old. The serial code for this disk image is: M6TF9-8XQ2M-YQK9F-7TBB2-XGG88.
- You need a copy of FM 2007. Link here. See Disclaimer above.
- You need a copy of Patch 7.02. Link here. See Disclaimer above.
- Download winCDemu, this programme is Windows XP compatible, you will need it to install FM. Link here.
Installation
Now installation.
- Install VirtualBox on your PC. Instructions are in Chapter 2 of the VirtualBox manual.
- To install Windows XP in VirtualBox, follow the instructions in this video.
- Once you have installed Windows XP, you need to install VirtualBox Guest Additions. Instructions are in this video.
- Now you need to create a shared folder to allow you to move files from your PC’s OS into Windows XP. Instructions are in this video.
- On your main OS, put your copy of FM 2007, Patch 7.02 and winCDemu into the shared folder. Then copy these files into Windows XP, put them wherever you want.
- Install winCDemu. Then use it to mount FM 2007. Instructions here.
- Install FM 2007 and Patch 7.02.
And that’s it, installation should take less than an hour even if it’s your first time using VirtualBox.
Downloads may take longer, but if you tell your sister to get off MSN that might speed things up. ⚽️⚽️

You can play the game without any further downloads, but there are 2 additions that will really improve the game experience.
- Graphics (Nets, Balls, Flags, Kits, Icons, Backgrounds, Faces, Skins)
Follow the instructions in this post on Neoseeker. Information on what the Graphics Pack contains is here. The only change from the instructions is; instead of downloading HJSplit, download FFSJ here. Copy FFSJ into Windows XP via the shared folder and join the 6 .exe files there. Then run the install as normal. Inside the installation you can choose from loads of different graphics options.
- Corrected Competition Names
You need to download 1 file and 1 programme. Download this file from Panoz.it, and then download 7-Zip here. Copy them both into Windows XP via the shared folder. Install 7-Zip, and then use it to extract the folders from the Panoz file into this folder – C:/Program Files/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2007/data/db/702/lnc
